HT&LT – Collection of CC charges and other Charges and fees – Restriction to receive the cash – Instructions – Issued

Tamil Nadu Electricity Supply Code, Regulation 15 states that –

(1) The Licensee shall issue receipts for every recovery or payment from
the consumers.

(2) All High Tension Bills,****** Payment for amounts exceeding Rs.5000/-
is preferred by DD/Cheque.*****

(3) Low Tension Consumers shall pay ***** Payment for amounts
exceeding Rs.5000/- (Rupees five thousand only) is preferred by DD/Cheque.
Depending on the circumstances, the designated authority of the distribution licensee
shall however accept cash payments also and advise the consumer for future
remittances by DD/Cheque”.
