Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules, 2019 – Allotment of land by the layout developers to the TANGEDCO at free of cost for development of electrical infrastructure such as sub-station, Distribution Transformer, etc. – Instruction issued

. The Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules, 2019 inter-alia mentioned that 0.5% of layout area shall be transferred to the TANGEDCO free of cost through a registered gift deed for developing electrical infrastructures before the actual sanction of the layout. The relevant provision in the Rule 47 of the Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules, 2019 is reproduced as below:

“(8) One per cent of layout area excluding roads, additionally, shall be reserved for “Public Purpose” in all layouts. Within the above ceiling 0.5% of area shall be transferred to the Local Body and 0.5% of area shall be transferred to the TANGEDCO free of cost through a registered gift deed before the actual sanction of the layout.”
