Online application filing procedure in respect of LT service connection (except hut and agriculture) has been in vogue since 05.08.2016.
The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) ,Government of India has recommended to implement a system that allows online application submission, payment and tracking of application status without the need for a physical touch point in obtaining new electricity connection. It also mandates that all applications are submitted online for obtaining new electricity service connection under Ease of Doing Business (EoDB).
To implement the above recommendation and to have easy access to the intending industrial applicants by eliminating physical touch point in document submission for availing new service connection ,the Online application filing of new service connection in respect of LT Industrial applications shall be mandatory with effect from 01.07.2019.

The online services introduced for applying LT service connections& also for name transfer is highly appreciable. But what is very sad to point out is poor implementation by section level due to ignorance of rules.
